Cayetano 2050: Projecting the future of university education on its 63rd anniversary
As part of the celebration of our 63rd anniversary, the Universidad Cayetano Heredia reaffirmed its commitment to academic excellence and innovation through an event that encourages us to project ourselves towards the future of higher education. As part of the ambitious project Cayetano 2050, the conference “Redefining the University: The Path Towards the Future” became the main space to analyze strategic perspectives that will guide the development of education in the coming decades.
The event was attended by Dr. Fredy Vargas Lama, director and researcher of the Center for Strategic Thinking and Foresight of the Universidad Externado de Colombia. In his speech, he discussed different strategies for adapting university education to the challenges ahead, with the clear objective of ensuring that the education offered by our institution maintains the highest quality.
Afterward, a discussion was led by Dr. Jorge Beltrán, director of Planning and Development, accompanied by Dr. Vargas Lama. In this space, ideas were exchanged and questions from the public were answered, fostering an enriching dialogue about the future of the university.
This event was also attended by our main authorities: the rector, Dr. Enrique Castañeda; the academic vice-rector, Dr. Yesenia Musayón; and the research vice-rector, Dr. Carlos Cáceres. They highlighted the importance of the project Cayetano 2050 and reinforced the commitment of our institution to educational transformation, academic development, and promotion of research; all of which are essential pillars to face the challenges of the current academic environment.
In order to consolidate our leadership in the educational field, the Universidad Cayetano Heredia continues to promote initiatives that strengthen its international projection and its commitment to society. Through projects such as Cayetano 2050, we reaffirm our mission to be a pioneering institution that looks to the future and seeks to transform higher education in Peru and around the world.
